I trained in Swedish massage a few years back, taking the course over a year. It involved academic study on anatomy as well as the hands on practical side. A load of written work as well as theflesh slapping. I had to give it up a matter of weeks before the exam, that would have qualified me vocationally, because a 5 month job came up that I couldn't rightly refuse.
