Last night I slept, soft water and thinner dreams. I woke with a dime tangled in my hair and now I understand vengeance.

Is it Kinda Kinks? I think that's already taken, but I can't remember who used it.

I'm not familiar with them, A shame, as I try to keep tabs on unfortunately-named bands. I wonder if Ässfagüt is still around.

ha, haven't heard of them, assuming they exist and I'm mystified as to how you even typed that!

other bad names: Bird Gets the Smile. Freeballin' - which means, of course, guys who don't wear underwear. Schnockered. Metal bands provide a whole other treasure trove of bad names.

Oh, Assfagut (I'm far too lazy for umlauts today) was real. Some friends of mine played a show with them a few years back and they were as terrible as the name suggests. They made #2 on the list of "Worst Bands NJFP Ever Played With." #1 was taken by Code Blue, who stole all the door money and took off before anyone realized.

Speaking of bad band names, today my friend Bob regaled me with stories of two groups from Nashua - Incest Repellant and The Abortion Squad. They're definitely on the bad name list. Apparently they'd been playing all ages shows since the late seventies/early eighties when Incest Repellant decided to move to South Carolina to make it big. Allmusic.com has nothing on them.

Also, English death metal band Cancer had a song called "Cancer Fucking Cancer" that was somehow not a joke.
