A Brit, A Lawyer, A Kid, A "Nose", & Shaq walk into a bar... PART 2
The long awaited return to caper roleplaying went well yesterday. And when I say well, I mean I laughed my ass off.
Richard's gentleman thief has "started" a cleaning service for the security company that works the docks, nearly charming the pants off the receptionist. That allowed the group to get some fake uniforms to allow access to the target ship via the docks.
Twitch's cat burglar started planning for a getaway after the plan goes to hell and he has to swim for his life away from an exploding boat.
Dannan's demo-kid built many explosive devices, all of which have worked very well so far. He also rolled very well on a hide erection save. It was amazing all he got accomplished considering he had to work at Radio Shack on two days (and somehow wasn't smart enough to call in sick when he was supposed to be planning a diamond theft.)
They got to the docks after midnight and met up with Jimmy, the stoned security guard, whom Richard took an immediate liking to. Richard was able to smooth talk the guard into thinking that an extra shift of guards was sent over at the request of the company whose ship was coming in so late. The guard station office was left wide open, so Dannan simply reset the security cam DVR, sadly not getting to blow the whole thing up with his largest bomb.
Richard & Jimmy then went over towards the ship, while Dannan & Twitch went to set up a booming diversion. After (hopefully) most of the crew disembarked, things got really interesting. Richard faked being knocked out, only to chloroform Jimmy when he came to check on him. Twitch went around to the opposite side of the boat and used his rope to monkey across. Dannan had to set off another explosion to distract a guard that was only moments away from finding Twitch.
As we left off, Twitch had made it below decks, Dannan had tried to swashbuckle his way on to the ship with a giant duffle bag of explosives over his shoulder (taking 3 points of damage in the attempt), Richard was hiding in the shadows, and the guards of the ship were shouting in a foreign language.
Richard had to go so we had to leave Dannan literally hanging.
It is nice to actually get to chronicle once again for the Moogle chronicler. Tonite, Cady Time!
