Ends up that I had a case of acid reflux. Hence the heartburn and burping. Go figure. So now I just have to take this prilosec OTC, drink lots of fluids inbetween meals and little fluid with meals, and I'll be good to go. I'm glad. I'm so glad my doctor was the one to actually call me personally, AFTER HOURS (because he called at almost 630), and told me what the problem was after they got all my blood work back. They said all my cardiac results were fine and that I didn't have an ulcer. So again, I'm just so glad it wasn't more serious. I think the high pulse rates were from myself being freaked out over the fact that it could have been something worse.
This week is pretty much a wash week for teaching. Tuesday and Wednesday the kids get out early for STAR testing (state testing) so they take those over a 4 hour period each day, and then they also have them on Thursday. But since my Freshman do not take history this year, they do not take the history exams on Thursday. So I'll have one class period of kids for over 2 hours on Thursday. So I'm showing a movie. Votes now are either Step Up, Bedtime Stories, Bolt, or Take the Lead. I'm breaking pushing the rules for PG-13, so I'm trying to pick something that isn't that bad. Any other ideas? They didn't want Wall-E or Kung-Fu Panda. I am NOT watching something ridiculous like Step Brothers.
I feel like I've really been out of the loop on things, and I apologize for that. With work, and drama with my mom and my aunt, and this weird sick thing, I just haven't been up to much of anything. I'm posting right now for Charlie. I am SO SORRY I have been so behind and not on the ball.
I still have to watch Supernatural 4x18, and the new Doctor Who special. I am missing David Tennant something fierce. Do not go see State of Play, it is just like any other corporation conspiracy/murder movie. I'm two episodes behind on Chuck, which sucks because I actually have students that watch it and keep wanting to talk about it with me and I can't, since I've missed it.
Fringe is on in 14 minutes, must go!!
