Watching Tin Man on Sci-Fi. There is something so terribly sexy about Callum Keith Rennie (Zero in Tin Man, Leoben on BSG) in leather. Hell, in anything, really. Don't know what it is about him, but damn. I remember he did that episode of Supernatural WAY back in the day (S1Ep2, I think. With the Wendigo?).
I feel so completely boring today. Parents went out of town, so I've had the house to myself. Even the dogs are bored with me. But I've done a few things.
I finished one baby hat, that now instead of going to the baby shower recipient March the 15th, it's going to my cousin Jason and his wife Debbie, who just had their first child, Violet Isabella (I LOVE that name), who was born this past Friday out in good ol' Texas. I always make my baby hats from this book,
Itty Bitty Hats by Susan B. Anderson. They are absolutely stunning hats.
This is the link to the pattern on ravelry. It's definately a girlie hat, that's why I found it so appropriate since I knew that they were naming her Violet, I figured I'd change it up anyway for Violet. Seemed appropriate.
Dani of
Sunshine Yarns has some amazing pictures of many of the hats from the book. Now I have to finish one more hat for the baby shower this Saturday.
(Complete side note: I wish they would have focused more on the relationship between D.G. and Cain. It's this sweet, yet powerful relationship. He calls her kiddo to reitterate the fact that he is older, and she is younger...but come on!)
Quarter ends on Friday. I've been doing this job now for ten weeks. It's bloody freaking crazy. Kids take the CAHSEE Tuesday and Wednesday, so I'll be subbing for another teacher's class since I have all sophmores, and only sophmores take it at this time. Of course, I have some repeaters in my first 3 periods, so I'll have a few extra in the morning. Should be nice and chaotic. But the good thing is that my 2nd and 4th period those days will be my kids that I subbed for back in October and November, so it will be nice to kick back and hang out with them.
Spring Break, and I've got nowhere to go! It sucks. I'd love to go to the beach, but you need to make sure to book spring break week a good six months in advance (and then possibly be on a waiting list) at where we usually stay. And the Beach House is still occupied till the end of this month. So I'm going to try to see if Grandpa and Virginia one day want to drive up to Eagle Mountain Casino and play for awhile.
I /really/ want to see Doomsday. I think it looks kick-ass.
I am extremely excited for the season premiere of BSG. All I know is--OMGWTF.
When the heck does Doctor Who start? All these rumors and spoilers are driving me NUTS!
I planned this weekend to knit, work on lesson plans, and watch movies. I've done one of those things, and it was the least important of the three.
Really loving this time change thing. It's 6:30 and the sun is still out. And it's going to be 75 tomorrow.
The dogs are currently bugging me to eat. I should probably feed them.

3 episodes of Supernatural
2 episodes of Torchwood
2 episodes of Moonlight
2 episodes of Chuck
1 episode of Stargate: Atlantis
