i usually find something useful in Slate, but it's never in their travelogues. it might be something about how i'm against travelogues on principle, or that somehow Americans' perspectives on places foreign [no matter where the place is] end up sounding the same, or i just don't like things that mix expository and personal writing [which rules out

there was a thing on the travel channel about the czech republic and there were a bunch of dumb americans saying dumb things (i.e. this one dude who had a "i am *so* college radio" look about him saying, "well, i didn't want to go to this one place, because i'd heard it attracted a lot of tourists...") and.. i thought of you. and how you probably would have thrown something at the TV, or had an aneurism, or something.

i'm sorry you have a roommate. you are always welcome in my room.. provided i'm not studying like a maniac for the LSAT.

heh, since last january-ish when i decided it was the only viable option for me.
i don't really like to talk about it because i don't want to jinx myself, but i'm shooting for international law at NYU, columbia, georgetown, or the big H.
