2009 is almost gone...
and it has far outstayed its welcome! 2009 is the year that the economy (and my husband's business) went in the tank. After years of minimal vet bills, we paid a small fortune this year. And despite all the dollars spent, we still lost our beloved Flyer. Rescue Golden Sunny turned Cujo one time too many and had to be put down. Good friends had serious health and financial problems. Giddy had several suspicious lumps removed yesterday and sent out for biopsy; Two are probably nothing, but one may be a mast cell tumor. :-(
2010 will be off to an auspicious start. My new computer will be delivered tomorrow! This poor old 2002 computer will be retired after many years of faithful service. And Thursday or Friday I drive out west of town to pick up my new *liver* Flat-Coat puppy! She'll be 9 weeks old. Livers are pretty uncommon; I never thought I'd have one. Flyer's breeder felt like this pup would be right for me, and called to ask if I would be interested; of course I said yes. So we'll be starting the new year with a new little person to terrorize our household. Giddy will be happy for a new playmate; Penny will be in a snit about having new competition for our attention.
