Help me with a quilt? Again?

Jun 28, 2016 22:28

Wow, it's been a long time. Short version: I had a very busy semester, I'm writing a book that's due at the end of the summer, and my state is at the front of the pack in the race to destroy public higher education in the U.S. I'm back at running (one more half marathon under my belt), and I just got back from a wonderful two weeks in Colorado. I'm ( Read more... )

I live near Seattle, but I'm afraid I don't understand exactly what you need? Is there a particular store?

ETA: I see, I think. Can I go to any one of these stores? Or does it have to specifically be in Seattle?

Sorry for the confusion! There's one shop in downtown Seattle called Undercover Quilts, a block from Pike Place Market, that is offering this pattern:

Ah, I see. Sorry for my confusion. Okay, I live about 45 minutes from there, but I do occasionally go down to that neighborhood. When do you need it by? (Sorry I didn't know about it sooner, I was right there on Sunday for Pride!)

No worries, it just started last week! It's available till Labor Day, so any time before then would be great. I'm trying to collect a bunch of city patterns to make into a quilt for my office wall, and this one is not only a skyline, but possibly the most beautiful out of the 3000 shops!

Working on a way to get the Marlborough pattern for you, though it may be a few weeks, and I'll probably throw Franklin in there as well if I can because OMG THAT PATTERN *___*

Both of those would be AWESOME. A number of shops did a space-related pattern, but Franklin's is one of the best. "There may be life, but there is NO fabric on Mars!
We're heading home!" LOL.

Hiya! We live in Arlington, VA so the Alexandria and Fairfax shops are close to us. We're also traveling to Richmond in a few weeks so could get one there too. Message me with your addy and I'll see what I can do!

I'm in Austin! There's a place right near my work that's doing Row by Row; I can easily stop by. Or do you need the pattern from a specific store? The one near me is A Quilter's Folly, if that narrows it down any. Let me know if that's not one you need - I can see about finding the other shops in town.

As an aside, I just noticed that Tumblr unfollowed you for me recently (and added some strangers to my dash as well - like, suddenly an aesthetic blog and something else about food?)

I was going to send you an ask bc I thought it was strange I hadn't seen anything about this on your blog, and when I went to my "Following" list, you weren't there anymore :/

So. You are being followed. Again. *should I mwahaha? it feels weird not to, after that*

Hi! Yes, that would be awesome! It's actually not A Quilter's Folly (figures, right?), but there's two in town or nearby:

Northwest Sewing Center
5448 Burnet Road Suite 1
Austin, TX 78756
512-459-3961

Over the Top Quilting Studio
200 Buttercup Creek Blvd.
Suite 111
Cedar Park, TX 78613
512-358-4605

The first one is this cute silhouette of downtown with the hills off to the west, and the second one is of the bridge with the bats flying away. :D If the second one is too far away, I totally understand. But thanks so much for offering! I want to make a separate quilt with just city patterns, and these would be perfect for that.

ETA: And Tumblr is weird. Thanks for letting me know, though; I got the message about you following me and was wondering why you hadn't been already! :)
