Hi I'm still alive

What I've been up to lately:

1) returning to TP trainings
2) work
3) shopping for Christmas presents
4) secret mission (which failed quite badly because of lousy materials shizzz)

Pei Ying recommended me to work for her intern company, Infosphere Solutions. The job offer was a magazine promoter, and job scope was getting parents to subscribe to Newsweek for their children in secondary school.

So yesterday I woke up as early as 5A.M and met Pei Ying to head down to Catholic High for work. Jason and I stayed at the canteen, the main exhibit place, while Pei Ying and Annabel headed to the hall area to grasp the chance to target parents right after they were done with registration.

We had a competitor just next door, TIME. I hate to admit, but I hate losing right under someone's nose. Especially when I can't stand the other party. I can afford to lose, but only if you're a worthy competitor. So anyway, Jason and I were rather demoralized when they clinched approximately 4 deals shortly after a small crowd arrived while over at our side it was zilch. That feeling was bitter. You know you never stopped trying but it wasn't enough.

However, things started to change for the better. I had deals coming in. It was apparent that many parents were fickle-minded and they could not make up their mind between TIME and Newsweek. So when the first customer agreed to suscribe after I explained everything to her, I thanked her profusely for being my first customer. So that was the first deal of the day.

I ended the day with 4 or 5 deals out of 10 deals, which was pretty okay because I was the top salesperson on the sales summary list. I knew I could do better though. It was a good experience, no doubt. I never knew I was capable of such jobs which require enthusiastic up-selling and thick-skin persuasion.

After the one day event ended, I took Bus 59 back home with Pei Ying. I fell asleep on the bus and I was so drained that I couldn't be bothered how unglamorous my face and sleeping posture was. When I got home, I had a good 3 hours nap.

So this was how I spent my Thursday. & it's Friday today!!!! PARTY TONIGHT WITH THE OLD <3

basketball, work, secret mission
