Not really surprising, since when I was reading in bed it started raining. So I stopped reading and just lay there, listening to the rain. It was awesome.
Then I was a cheaterer and snuck into the Institution to give
nornagon pie. I was also looking for
saint_aura because I haven't seen her in a while, but she proved elusive. I did catch up with
arkazel, who was studiously not-fretting about her viva voce this afternoon. Don't worry, love - I'm sure you did great. This probably also explains the absence of the elusive Shortarse (<3).
I then jaunted into town to grab a couple of paper-objects from my mum. I walked from her work to the
MCA - quite a hike I may assure you. I then proceeded to wander about in the free bit of the MCA, where I ran into
highbloodsugar, who was likewise wondering. We wandered about together for a bit, watching the one-armed artist nearly hyperventilate over his own self portraits. No, really.
Then he buggered off and I paid my monies to go into the Sam Taylor-Wood exhibition, which was why I was actually at the museum. I have to say, her videos are random and somewhat... blah, I found [a completely naked man dancing, a guy tap-dancing in front of another (apparently dead) man, with a dove perched on his head, etc]. But her photography was beautiful. She did 27 photos of famous men crying. It moved me greatly.
Anyway, that's my day in a nutshell. I figured out my pattern of assessments for the next month (ie: the rest of semester) and it looks like I'll be rather busy. Someone should buy me a Haigh's-frog. <3
