Wee!, I have New Year's off... will I do anything? prolly not. Maybe read or do some gaming *laugh* I did get a couple of new books tho and I can't wait to read them. I got World War Z by Max Brooks and The Zombie Survival Guide:Complete Protection from the Living Dead, also by Max Brooks. I've wanted to read them for a long time. Why two zombie books? I dunno... I've just always wanted to read them.
I'm glad that the Christmas season is finally ending. I guess I just don't have the Christmas spirit any more. I'm starting to see it more for what it really is. A commercial trance. It's prolly just my years in retail speaking but it seems to me that everything I learned about the season while growing up actually becomes the exact opposite after the blindfold is taken off. It was supposed to be a time of happiness and joy... where in reality it brings out the worst in people. The stress of making sure everyone gets the perfect gift and to make sure that they don't spend too much. I think the only people who are joyous during the season are the businesses who rake in beaucoup dollars from the waves of people stumbling over each other to buy gifts. Oh, and I was raised Catholic... so no, it's not because I don't believe in Jesus. I'll stop now before I get too offensive. I'm happy for those who can actually still get some enjoyment out of the season... because I cant.
