First Day Impressions

Welp, I am officially zonked. Tired and worn out for those who don't subscribe to my language. Today was a starting point in a schedule that I'm gonna have for awhile and it's one of those 8-5 M-F things. I haven't really worked a 40hr/wk 9hr/day job before so it's definitely draining BUT I'm not complaining. I really welcome the change. I'll get a new schedule in eight weeks that will probably look something like 4p-1a or something of this nature. I also found out I get to train at the Northpointe location which is literally five minutes from my house which is awesomeness... altho Northpointe is the place I got my speeding ticket so hopefully there is no bad juju left on that road ;) Each day, I'll be taking four hours of classes, having a one hour break, then four hours of listening in other peoples calls, just picking up the trade. Today was mostly paperwork and introduction stuff so I didn't learn much in terms of the computer system. I did learn more about the benefits and wow... very good. The health insurance and free cable/internet w/ every channel are quite appealing.

In terms of the job itself, I can see it being very challenging, but it will keep me very busy so time will go fast :) I saw everyone in there using AIM so I might have to get that and add some folks. In terms of dealing with customers, I think this job will help me open up a little because I will be required to talk to people pretty much the whole time. I think it will help me in the long run. So far so good I'll have to say. I've heard some horror stories but what job doesn't have any of those? Just have to deal with them as they come.

P.S. I never thought sitting down for eight hours could KILL my back so badly! *laugh*
