Movie # 12: Cidade de Deus
Two boys growing up in a violent neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro take different paths: one becomes a photographer, the other a drug dealer.

This movie was so hard for me to watch. I kept imagining this happening here (which I guess it does, I just don't know about it) or if this still happens in Brazil. I couldn't even focus on the acting or the cinematography like I usually do, I was just tense.
What I did end up noticing is how amazing the scene where Benny and Li'l Zé fight. It was kinda obvious what was going to happen, but I loved that everything happened in like stop animation because of that weird light clubs usually have.
Another thing that I noticed is how beautiful their skin looked thru out the movie.
