(no subject)
well, two actual days under my belt for the job. its alright. yesterday i was kinda alone. everyone had staff meetings. today was better as more people were around. if you're not doing challenging, interesting work, you really need good people. they're definitely that.
so, yeah... i'm there. it won't be like a normal paycheck i was once used to, but right now i'd just love any money. i'm not sure if i even get paid for last week, sadly. i have to talk to them about that. it would be really, really nice.... so... yeah. i've always disliked discussing money, even more so with a church that i attend that i know is trying to keep all costs down (the reason this is a part time rather than full time position right now anyway...).
on the very plus side, i got out of work in plenty of time to go to the eno river state park and go running in the beautiful day that was today. it was a little muddy, but who cares? it was gorgeous, and i was in the woods, climbing hills, running by gurgling, then rushing, streams. it was great (even though i spent more time walking up those particular hills than i like to admit...). i am thinking it wouldn't be a bad idea to keep this job through spring, until the daylight lasts til past 6, just so i can get these great runs in... :o)
