Yunho walked into his office with a coffee mug already in hand. Early on, his assistant insisted on making it herself but the ritual was often a needed one for him. Over the first weeks of his promotion, he built a habit of politely refusing until she stopped asking. He was usually there before her anyway.

Looking out the glass walls of his office, he could see a few people already slumping into their desks, loosening their ties and removing their suit coats all before the day even began. It had been a week of long nights and nothing seemed to be slowing down just yet. They probably wouldn’t until the official launch since their current project was proving a challenge.

Their job for SM Corporation, one of the largest technological production companies in the country, was often easily explained but rarely easily done. As head of the Research and Development department, Yunho had to make sure they delivered what they promised. In order to do that, a lot of grueling hours of research were needed, particularly with the creative spark of one very clever IT engineer, Shim Changmin.

With an abundant budget, the department had many specialists recruited at the top of their field; computer engineers, designers, lawyers and consultants. Yunho had begun as a copyrights lawyer for the company. Eventually, his own creative interests led him into the department. Fast forward ten years later and there he was, as the head and supervisor. By company standards, he was one of the longest standing employees in the department, hell, even the company. But he had worked day and night, seven days a week to prove himself. Most respected him for it, most thought of him as a suitable supervisor.

Shim Changmin was not like most people. With a former career in modeling that lasted well beyond what was normal, he came into the company two years ago, boasting of a prestigious education and unmistakable confidence. Despite being offered a position with his own team of IT specialists in the design department, he chose to remain with development.

Changmin called it, a learning experience.

Yunho called it, bullshit.

To him, it was obvious the guy had more than enough know-how. He was skilled, creative and had an increasing curiosity. Not surprisingly, he was also attractive. Yunho wasn’t particularly jealous of the attention they gave him. His interest lied only in one.

Boa was a bold young woman just over five years his younger, but mature and assertive. She often worked with Changmin to design prototype interfaces for his codes. Whatever he thought up, she would polish enough to sell it to the board. She was resourceful and clever with deeper understanding of logistics than most. He wasn’t surprised when Changmin found a mentor in her.

A rumor circulated around the office that she was already dating someone in the company. Most assumed it was Changmin given how close they appeared. However, the truth was that Yunho had claimed that right long before the rumors even started.

“So serious already?” her voice sang from the door. “I haven’t even had breakfast yet.”

He caught her leaning against the frame with her arms crossed over chest in way that emphasized her breasts and the curve of her hip. Boa liked to do that from time to time, remind him why their secret was worth the upkeep. Office romances were frowned upon, though not unpermitted. Still, Yunho thought too much of his reputation to risk it, at least, until a more permanent arrangement had been settled between them.

“There are muffins in the break room. Help yourself,” he replied without a smile.

She scoffed. “You can be such a bore. You know that?”

“Am I?”

Her voice dropped, smooth and sultry. “Every damn day,” she replied.

As usual, he didn’t take the bait and went back to his computer.

“There’s no one here,” she whispered, leaning against his desk. “Besides, teasing the boss isn’t exactly against the rules.”

Yunho warned her with a glance and nothing more. But it was enough. She marched out the door to her desk with little more than another whispered insult.

She was right of course. He usually didn’t object to being treated with familiarity. Not when the atmosphere was dull with exhaustion, not from anyone, except her. Boa was right to complain. But what Yunho did, he did with purpose. He knew their office animosity always served for some good sparring later when they met in more intimate quarters. They both knew that.

Though it was sometimes difficult to remember when the day passed, and he could only watch as Changmin walked to her desk with the strut of a man on mission.

He wants her.

Rumors rarely affected him. Yunho was resolute on putting as little attention to them as possible, whether they be about him or anyone else. However, in moments where Boa smiled, covering her mouth like a shy teenager and obviously aware of the tall attractive figure that was Shim Changmin curving over her petite body, it made his thoughts race when visions of them together, skin against skin, sharing whispers of lust invaded Yunho’s mind.

She wants him.

Lately, it was a habit he couldn’t shake no matter how much he tried. He thought of them together, on a bed, a desk, against a wall or on the floor with Changmin’s body over hers. Clothes, undone. Breaths, ragged. He thought of them more and more as the months passed. More so, as the rumors echoed through the halls and as much as he tried otherwise, he saw them everywhere, always together, always side by side with Changmin’s arm over her shoulders and lips too close to her ear.

Always together.

Their one-year anniversary was less than a month away. But despite the trust between them, her closeness to Changmin was getting to him. The worst part of it all was that he was sure Changmin had noticed and the bastard enjoyed his misery.

Watching them now as Boa kept smiling, Yunho’s blood boiled; and just when he thought nothing could get worse, Changmin looked up, meeting his gaze with a leer.

Yunho had to force himself to turn away. Unfortunately for him that was not the last of it.

Come noon, a knock on the open door called his attention. Already knowing who it was from the scent of sweet musk and citrus, he merely acknowledged Changmin with a short reply.

“Yes?”

When no reply came, he looked away from his computer to discover Changmin leaning over the chair across his desk. “Is there something I can do for you?” Yunho forced out.

“For me? Plenty. But I doubt you’d be willing-yet.”

Everything about Changmin was a ridiculous exaggeration. From his tall chiseled body, his handsomely boyish face, his expensive suits, his boisterous laugh and worse, his voice; thick with the eloquence of education and natural seduction.

Yunho wasn’t jealous.

He was raving mad.

Yunho would never admit to anyone but he envied more than Changmin’s ease with the people around him. The man was not much younger, maybe a year or two. But he exuded a boldness Yunho wasn’t sure he ever possessed himself. Passion and drive, sure. However, being bold was not in his making. Yunho was too careful, too calculative, and much too pensive. Everyone knew it. So much so, Boa’s favorite joke was one that involved how long it had taken him to accept her invitation, despite her obvious advances that had run for months.

Changmin laughed when Yunho frowned, throwing his head back for a second before leaning closer. “You’re the boss. Who wouldn’t need something from you,” he teased. “But I am well aware, you can’t do everything. That’s why we are a team, right?”

“Right.”

Suddenly turning serious, Changmin straightened. “Our proposal for the design is ready and we need your approval.”

“I’ll be there in half an hour.”

“But-”

“Half an hour, Shim.”

“Yes, sir.”

As he promised, Yunho went straight to Boa’s desk, courteously nodding to those he passed; all, except for Changmin.

“How does it look?” Boa asked. “Do you think they will take it?”

“Were all the bugs fixed?”

She nodded. “Changmin managed to modify the plug-ins to help with the blockage. Nothing bulky, just the basics. Literally, just going back to basics,” she replied with glee. “The site is now running, privately at least. We can make it public for the demo in a few days.”

“Good. You can present it tomorrow morning.”

“But the company merger party is tomorrow evening,” she reminded. “I don’t think the board would allow a conference so-suddenly.”

“It’s not sudden. I’ve already scheduled it.”

“But it’s our day off. We’re supposed to celebrate.”

Thinking only for a second, Yuhno sighed. “Fine. ONE of you can present tomorrow,” he informed.

“I’ll do it,” Changmin volunteered. “I have to come in the morning anyway.”

“Perfect. We’ll trust you then.”

The morning conference had gone splendidly. The board approved their project, awarding all those involved a nice bonus before ridding them of the damn thing.

Looking into the mirror, clad in a black tailored three-piece suit with silvered pinstripes, Yunho found himself in an extremely good mood. After grooming he put on his coat and hurried to join in the celebrations.

Upon arrival, it was near impossible to contain his awe. Most company related events were often held in five-star hotels but this one was in a private home unlike any he had ever seen.

It was a mansion by most standards with a western-style entrance that led to a grand half-spiral stairway. To the right was the living area where Yunho assumed the dim lighting meant, keep the hell out. The party appeared to the left, in a large hall probably meant for such things.

Sumptuous crystal chandeliers and silvered-satin table cloths decorated the room, made all the more outstanding by the mass of well-dressed others. But despite the grandeur, it didn’t take him long to spot Boa wearing a skin-tight garnet dress that wrapped snug around her chest with a slit higher than her thigh, and gold crested stilettos that matched the gold hung low over her breast.

His delight only grew when he realized it didn’t take her long to notice him either.

“Looking good, boss.”

With growing ease, he took his place next to her, slowly tracing the small of her back with the tip of his fingers before whispering into her ear.

“As do you.”

Her pretty lips parted in awe but otherwise remained impassive. Regardless, Yunho tallied another victory even though he was sure, she would without a doubt counter it.

In the distance, past the curve of her silhouette, Yunho noticed Changmin watching them. Feeling slightly daring, he leaned closer to the crook of her neck to a lay kiss, not long enough for anyone but the one watching to notice.

Changmin’s gaze never wavered. Not for a millisecond.

To Yunho, the challenge was obvious.

But two could play the same game.

The rest of the night passed uneventfully. However, Yunho was always mindful of Changmin’s presence. No matter where he turned, Changmin’s eyes always followed. Yunho took advantage at every opportunity he could, staying close to Boa and sharing secret touches or whispers when he knew Changmin was watching.

It was that way most of the night until one particular moment when Yunho was forced away from her. After a brief conversation with the new members of the board, he turned to find Boa no longer alone by the stairway. Beside her was Changmin, making her laugh and letting her body lean against him to steady herself in all too familiar sight.

In an attempt to stay calm, Yunho swallowed his jealousy with a drink. But the talk between the two never seemed to end. One drink turned to two, and then three until his judgement wavered.

“Enough,” he said to himself before turning back to the stairway to discover, Changmin stood alone.

For the first time that night, Yunho looked beyond those dark determined eyes that had challenged him for hours and appraised him wholly. He wasn’t surprised to find that even dressed in grey plaid, a difficult texture for most, lavishly adorned with a sapphire pocket square and matching tie, Changmin looked spectacular. Yunho nearly kicked himself for thinking it.

Gleaming with obvious pride, Changmin raised his glass, toasting to the attention with a smile.

Knowing he was being provoked did Yunho no good. He was at his limit and when he saw Changmin walk up the stairs, he inevitably followed, just barely catching a glimpse of a door closing at the far end of the hall.

He entered a study with long built-in shelves behind a large desk and other furniture of dark cherry wood, complete with a sitting room decorated with a lush leather sofa and glass-top coffee table. The area could be divided by a set of sliding doors in the middle of the room, one of which was already closed and hiding half the space behind.

Yunho walked in quietly, listening. When the door closed behind him, it quickly became obvious she wasn’t there. Silence was never Boa’s strong suit.

“Fuck. What am I doing? I must be insane,” he said aloud.

“I’m sure, nothing that dramatic. You are more of a-straying guest,” Changmin’s voice corrected.

It wasn’t long before Yunho caught sight of him standing against one of the dividing doors. “And you’re not?” he countered.

Changmin shrugged. “I think I’m allowed a moment of peace in my own home, don’t you think?”

“YOUR home?”

“Modeling gigs can sometimes pay off in more ways than you can imagine. It is a-ludicrous-business.”

“Fantastic.”

Watching as Changmin’s smug grin grew, Yunho realized his lack of enthusiasm was probably not his best face, at least, not one that would conceal his bitter jealousy. Unfortunately for him, it was too late to try because Changmin was already basking in his triumph before Yunho could change the subject.

But Changmin could hold his attention even when he didn’t mean to. As the other moved closer, Yunho couldn’t help but admire the outline of his body when the precarious youngster slipped off his jacket, exposing noticeable muscles and the promise of smooth soft skin above his collar. Changmin had already removed his tie, opened his vest and had his fingers over the first button of his shirt before Yunho realized he had stared for far too long.

“Where’s Boa?” he suddenly asked.

“Obviously-not here,” Changmin replied amused.

“But you know where she is.”

“Do I?”

“Don’t you?”

“Why? Were you following her?”

Flustered, Yunho gasped. “NO-I was just-I needed to talk to her.”

Changmin smiled like he knew otherwise, pissing Yunho off enough to turn for the door. That is, until he was stopped by a surprising compliment.

“You look good tonight.”

“What?”

“I mean, you always look good. But tonight-you’re exceptional.” Changmin came forward, backing Yunho against the door and tracing with long delicate fingers the curve of Yunho’s lips. “Definitely a treat for sore eyes,” he crooned close to his ear.

“What exactly do you think you’ll win from this, Shim?”

“Isn’t it obvious?”

“Obvious?” Yunho was aghast with his assumptions. “She’s not someone who can be easily swayed. Boa is already committed. If you think you can intimidate me away, you’re vastly underestimating me.”

“You’ve paid too much attention to rumors,” Changmin said with a laugh. “I don’t think you understand just how much I admire you.”

“Admire me?”

“Yes, of course. After all, what is all of this if not OUR game? Yours-and mine.”

Changmin paused briefly, adding pressure over Yunho’s mouth with his thumb before letting his touch rise. “Your eyes follow me-everywhere I go; or have you forgotten how often they’ve met mine?” he said softly. “If only you’d let me give you the attention you deserve.”

Gently, tentatively, Changmin’s lips fell on his. Yunho wasn’t sure why he didn’t stop it. He wasn’t being forced. But that was always true of Changmin; his eyes, his mouth, his voice and even his mere presence commanded Yunho’s attention. It was inevitable and yet, this time it felt different. Resentment or jealousy wasn’t there to cloud his judgment. In his gut was a whirling sensation of flickering heat that revealed something else entirely.

Desire.

“Finally,” Changmin whispered, fingers feeling the buttons over Yunho’s collar. “May I?” he asked with a voice as sweet as his touch.

Closing his eyes, Yunho nodded.

Fervent kisses passed between them. Consumed, Yunho tore Changmin’s shirt open, allowing him to admire what he’d only assumed was there before. But he did more than just look. He claimed with his fingers every bit of skin Changmin permitted.

Meanwhile, Changmin undressed him slowly as his touch and kisses grew deeper, hungrier. All kinds of doubts and absurdities rushed through Yunho’s mind, only to be instantly quieted the moment Changmin’s mouth attached to his pulse and searching hands curved around him.

They moved clumsily until Yunho’s body finally hit the floor and then something else took over. Almost immediately, Yunho’s shirt was thrown somewhere and his trousers pulled away. It was only when Changmin cradled himself between his legs that Yunho realized, Changmin was already fully exposed too.

When he resisted, iron hands anchored Yunho to the ground with force. He pushed against them but more so for game than real resistance.

Who had the real advantage?

Yunho was determined to find out.

Growling, he swayed his whole weight against the grip until Changmin was caught under him. Asserting his command, his kisses fell deep on the other’s lips, biting whenever he could.

To his frustration, Changmin laughed. “You think you’re a match for me?” he asked. “You’re deluded.”

“Am I?”

“This little game of ours has only just begun.”

Yunho thrusted his cock against Changmin’s. But Changmin was not persuaded. He pushed up, anchoring Yunho on his lap with deft fingers over his ass.”

“YOU are mine-and I AM yours-but make no mistake boss, I will have you begging for me to take you.”

“Now who’s deluded?”

When a finger entered into him, Yunho was unable to contain the moan that pushed up his throat. It moved slowly, in and out, teasing his insides with skill and unexpected tenderness. Despite his threat, it was obvious Changmin was testing his give, his willingness to surrender; and even as his movements grew deeper, hotter and wider, Yunho found no excuse to object.

“My suit jacket,” Changmin whispered excitedly. “Behind you.”

Half out of his mind, Yunho stretched his hand. It took him a few seconds, though eventually he caught the jacket on the sofa. His eyes were helplessly closed and his body clung to Changmin’s warmth as if the sweet caresses falling upon his body depended on it. Despite the drumming of his heart already numbing his sense, the sound of ripping plastic was unmistakable.

After brief respite of kisses, one lubed one finger turned to two and the rhythm of Yunho’s hips against the other began.

Realizing the bastard had been right, Yunho let his ire rise. His hands settled on Changmin’s chest and with every bit of his strength, his pushed himself up and away. Changmin wasn’t avoided for long. He followed quickly and stopped Yunho, pulling him close. Yunho swung a fist which Changmin avoided by letting him go.

Moving quickly, Yunho rushed into the other room only to be caught again and anchored against the desk face down.

Changmin lost all tenderness. He held him down with brute strength, giving only enough leeway for Yunho to breath. “You think can you challenge me?” he asked. “You forget, I’ve been watching you for almost two years, and Boa, she’s not known for being a soul of discretion. She bragged to me, you know. Of your-talents-” he said, tracing the full of Yunho’s lips with his finger. “-your stamina-your-needs. Since then, I knew, she could never satisfy you like I could.”

“Like hell you can!”

The world spun until Yunho’s back hit the hard wood with force and his lips were claimed with more vigor than he had ever known in his life.

“You should know by now, I never back down from a challenge” Changmin reminded, taking Yunho’s leg and hooking it over his hip.

Yunho moaned. The feel of their cocks together was swaying him and there was no hiding it. It wasn’t the the first time he’d felt something similar. It didn’t scare him.

There had been one another in his military days. He had been beautiful, gentle but more broken than he could handle. In the end, they were better friends than lovers. But this time it was different. Changmin was different. Yunho wasn’t the one chasing, he was the one being chased. He had only suspected it before but it was clear now and something about the fact excited him.

Changmin entered him fast but did not move. Lips teased the crook of his neck as Yunho cried out. Changmin steadied him, forcing Yunho to look him in the eye. There, Yunho found a question, a question he did not have to force himself to answer.

The first thrusts were slow and calculating, letting the come from Changmin’s readied cock seep into his insides with the lube until the thrusts could grow quicker. Never desperate, Changmin claimed his mouth, his neck and the grooves of his torso; kissing, biting, loving. He praised Yunho’s moans with affectionate whispers and promises.

With every thrust, Yunho grew more eager. No matter how much he hated admitting it, Changmin knew every weakness in his body and there was no turning back.

When the kindle of lust spread from his groin to the ends of his desire, flowing through his body in tsunamic waves, Yunho knew he could no longer resist. Without shame, he wrapped both is legs around Changmin and undulated his hips, hoping to at least reclaim if only a bit of his control.

Changmin took the opportunity to seize anchor over his lower body and let his hands travel up Yunho’s torso, admiring whatever wonder he found.

“I need more,” Changmin admitted.

Out of breath, Yunho only wondered what he could possibly mean.

The world spun until his back hit a cushioned surface but it wasn’t long before he was forced to turn around on his hands and knees, and he discovered he was on the sofa. As a hand curved over his hip to take hold of his cock, another spread his legs until Changmin could easily thrust himself inside him again. This time with more speed and control.

“More,” Yunho gasped. “More is good.”

“Say my name,” Changmin growled.

“Fuck you.”

“Say it!”

Commanding, Changmin tightened his hold and stopped moving. “Say it, beg me to take you.”

Yunho whined. “Changmin-please.”

“Why?”

“Because-because I want you.”

Fingers soon left his cock and moved to his hair, exposing the long curve of his neck for Changmin’s taking. Yunho didn’t mind. He replaced the hold with his own and moaned for more kisses, if not on his lips, anywhere on his body.

Increasing the pace, Changmin was more than happy to oblige.

“Boss? All the drafts were submitted ten minutes ago. The crew was wondering if it was safe to go home?” Boa asked without entering the room.

Yunho looked up from his computer and nodded.

“Great! We were thinking of having drinks after, want to join us?”

“No, thank you. I still have a few things to take care of. Give my apologies.”

“Okay. I’ll call you later? We really need to talk.”

“I’ll let you know when I’m home.”

Boa left without another word. Since the party, things had been different between them and Boa wasn’t one to waste time. He knew the kind of conversation that awaited them. Still, facing Changmin was not something he could do until he knew where he stood with Boa.

But Changmin was persistent and it was only seconds before his phone rang.

Shim: The silent treatment is not going to work for long.

Boss: I need time.

Shim: What you need is me.

Yunho fought the urge to look up, away from his phone. He knew Changmin was watching him and meeting his gaze now would only encourage him.

Shim: I need you.
Shim: I need you on my bed.
Shim: I need our bodies sharing heat and friction.
Shim: I need you begging for me to let you come, completely at my mercy.

Boss: Tomorrow.

Somewhere in the distance, Yunho was sure, Changmin was smiling.
