Dave had to go in to work today for a few hours, and called at noon to say that he had just left work but the buses were barely running so he wasn't sure when he'd be home, especially since he'd have to stop at Giant Eagle along the route to get cat food, and then wait for the next bus. At about 4 PM I finally heard him outside, exchanging remarks with the next door neighbor who shares our driveway and who is out there shoveling.
Update: he just walked in. Apparently the walk from the bus stop was nearly as bad as everything else. He waited two hours between buses after the cat food stop and never saw another big bus, had to switch to the Community Circulator to get the rest of the way home. He also says that he had to spend part of his work day shoveling a three-foot snowdrift from in front of the music hall entrance at House of Blues. They're probably going to wind up canceling tonight's concert anyway, though, because of weather conditions and the travel ban.
