iPod Shuffle!

I gacked this from chanel19. The first lines from the first 25 items on my iPod shuffle. I love shuffle. I really do. I sometimes feel like the shuffle feature is wired into my brain. See how many you can guess!

(I am not looking up lyrics, so this is what I *think* they are. Also, I wonder if I'll actually remember what these are tomorrow???)

#24 Tainted Love, wasn't that The Clash originally? Both Depeche Mode and Marilyn Manson have made covers, though. I think. :P

I don't think the Clash ever sang Tainted Love, and I've never heard a Depeche Mode cover... but the original version is Soft Cell!

Apparently the Clash once covered Tained Love - live. And it was never recorded. So where I got that from, I have no idea. I was dead sure Depeche Mode made a cover, but it's not listed above... though Wikipedia isn't the most trust-worthy source, of course. It also says original version was sung by one Gloria something (I already forgot her name, and I just looked at that link!), and Soft Cell seems to have made the very first cover.

Man, that song had a History. I never knew.

Very good! #25 is not Sinatra. Actually, I suppose he could have sung it. But my version isn't him...

Woo! When I was in Mexico there was a poolside contest to see who could identify the most songs by their first 10 seconds or less. I love this game!

Just because I was curious, I looked up "It Had to Be You" on wikipedia. Holy recordings, batman! I would guess that your version is by, hm... Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong?
