zany highlights from a transient

Gosh. Where to begin.

We love Connecticut. We're in the northern part, and it's very homey feeling. There are lots of farms and cute little towns and everyplace has a sign entering the town with things like "Settled 1645." That just blows my mind.

Everywhere in the state can be arrived at in basically less than 1.5 hours, so we've been going so many places that I've had to remind myself that we aren't actually on a vacation. Staying in a hotel while we were there made that reminder doubly hard to follow. (We're currecntly staying with my parents in Scranton for a few days, and I'm at the public library because Dad's computer sucks.) We've even been to Massachusetts twice, which is so cool that I can do that. First, we went to a butterfly conservatory and second, we went to the Eric Carle Museum, which is home to children's book art. Such an uber-cool place! Can't wait to go back there. B starts Kindergarten next week and she's very excited.

So things are crazy hectic, we're thrilled that when we go back it won't be to a hotel, and the relief of not living in Pittsburgh is overwhelming. Oooh, since Baby J drooled heavily into my old cell phone, D got me a new one. My only requirement was that it be a picture phone, but he ended up getting me one with all the bells and whistles, incuding a GPS Navigation system, which I am now horribly addicted to. Can't imagine how I'd find my way areound a new place without it. Since we've got Sprint, I also get free access to the NFL on Sprint. Am even more addicted to that ;)

Thos are pretty much all the highpoints. Am completely out of touch with everyone and everything web-related, and I've got research things to do before I get back to the kids who are probably driving my parents blissfully crazy :)
