Disgusting dinners, HP film favorites, new discoveries, and moving
Have not even turned the computer on much these days, so I am very, very behind on my LJ friends. Am hoping to catch up a bit tonight. So what have I been up to (and other random bits of stuff)?
* Woke up this morning hoping I could take the kids to the park or something fun like that. It was really sunny (yay!) but barely above freezing (boo!). Before I started getting too pissy about the weather, I looked in a local magazine and noted that there was a kids play opening today which I wanted to take the kids too. it was "The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Other Eric Carle Stories" performed by puppeteers from the Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia. So on a whim, we went, and had a ball! Definitely one of my better ideas :)
* We got GoF on DVD and watched it last weekend. We let B watch it with us (I diverted her attention during certain potentially scary scenes) but when it was over, she announced that she liked "Prisoner of Azkaban" better. She has a thing for Sirius ;)
* Last night, my friend Helen came over for dinner. I was going to make a bacon and cheese quiche, but then remembered that it was Lent and that Helen doesn't eat meat on Fridays, so I changed it to a broccoli and cheese quiche. Both my Sweetie and my husband felt absolutely no qualms about letting me know that it was "disgusting" and vile and not something either of them would ever dare to put in their mouths again. But at least they spared my feelings ;)
* Baby J has discovered his penis. He finds it fascinating. As soon as he gets into the tub, he looks down and is like, "Woo hoo! There's that cool stick thing again!" He loves to keep pushing the tip in. Quite humorous really :)
* We're moving to either Miami, FL or Hartford, CT. Most likely before July. I don't care which one it is, I just wish we'd know. D is going to Hartford for a couple weeks to see if he likes it or not, but both of us are leaning toward Miami.
* D's driving me crazy. He said he was going to go out and meet a friend of hs tonight, but he's still sitting here and I'd already had plans in terms of how I was going to spend my evening. Now he's lounging around and it screws up with my idea of a relaxing evening.
