Foam Brain Productions is excited to announce that we are running an encore run of Mike Young's exceedingly successful weekend long TS style game, "Lullaby of Broadway: Episode 1" in the Boston area, at Brandeis University, Feb 6-8, 2009.
The blurb is after the cut. The page to sign up is:
http://lullaby.foambrain.com. Additionally, we are offering dreamcasting for this game, similar to the first run. Dreamcasting is a chance to goof around and pretend to cast the Broadway shows in this larp. It’s available at:
http://dreamcast.foambrain.com. We once again are able to offer crash space for people coming in from out of town.
Please feel free to drop me a line at andrew@foambrain.com or leave a comment if you need more information or have any questions.
Thanks! I hope to see you all there!
Lullaby of Broadway is three episode series of stand-alone weekend long LARPs that are all based on well known Broadway musicals, run in a style similar to Shakespeare's Lost Play. There will be no continuity of plot or characters between the episodes, just a general theme of singing and dancing.
Lullaby of Broadway is different than weekend long games you've played in the past - in exchange for a certain loss of the self-determination you may be used to in LARPs, we promise to give you lots of great roleplaying opertunities, exciting plots and experiences, and maybe a chance to sing and dance.
Note that you will never be forced to perform on stage, but opportunities will be available to anyone who would like to.
Because of the high cost of props and set pieces in this game, Foam Brain is asking that people either help contribute to these things, or for a suggested donation of $15 to play in Episode 1.
Another Openin' Another Show is based on such beloved Broadway classics as:
• Annie
• Annie Get Your Gun
• Babes in Arms
• Bye Bye Birdie
• Guys and Dolls
• Hello, Dolly!
• How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying
• Kiss Me Kate
• My Fair Lady
• The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
• The Music Man
• The Drowsy Chaperone
• The Producers
• You're A Good Man Charlie Brown
