Home again home again
...and this is probably the last stretch of time where this will really be "home." I am back in Longview for only six weeks; my job interview was on Thursday and went very well. I start the four-month training school back in Little Rock on January 18. After that, I will be hired as a Tax Examination Technician or Service Center Collections Representative (same job, the titles appear to be interchangeable) in Austin, TX. Due to my Schedule A (jobs set aside for the disabled) status, I'll have to stay at that job in that location for two years. After that, I'll be free to move anywhere in the Federal government I can convince them to take me or just move on.
Part of me was hoping to get assigned to Andover, MA, but I think deep down I knew that it would be a lot harder for me to be off on my own for the first time there than it would be in Austin.
Nothing else really going on here, but it's the relaxing kind of "nothing" as opposed to the frustrating kind. (This will, of course, change by the time I go back.)
