GO TEAM VENTURE!
Finally, after over a year, we get some new Venture Brothers episodes and...that wasn't very funny, was it? Don't get me wrong, I appreciate that the show works hard to produce an atmosphere and backstory that can allow for more dramatic episodes, but even with the more absurd elements I only really laughed once or twice, mostly at Brock's misunderstanding of why he was on the Helicarrier and Dean's horror at What Must Be Done.
All that said, I TOTALLY want some SPHINX figures in the scale of GI Joe.
And the two week Kindle review? I love it so much I want to marry it. But it is emphatically not for coffee table books, even those offered in the Amazon store--I got Inventory: 16 Films Featuring Manic Pixie Dream Girls, 10 Great Songs Nearly Ruined by Saxophone, and 100 More Obsessively Specific Pop-Culture Lists and found the experience somewhat wanting. And then I realized I'd only saved about $2 off the Amazon price for the print edition, heh.
