Another quick hit
Katy ISD job fair was today. Unlike the others I've been to, this one was actually cool. Had three fifteen-minute interviews with schools that are hiring English teachers right this minute. (A fourth told me they were not considering any English or social-science teachers who can't coach a sport until they fill their coaching vacancies. Given the quality of many major-sport coaches' classroom teaching--though by no means all--I find it offensive that I am less valuable to them than a less-effective teacher who can coach track.)
New Depeche Mode album isn't half bad. I got it on tuesday when Amazon had the MP3 version for $3, and was pleasantly surprised.
