LegendMyth Story

The land is one known as Seleron. It is one of four lands that are within traveling distance. The other three are the island of Theala, the mountainous region of Einto, the harsh desert of Llanque, and the neighboring land of Chamdor. The time is the Age of Horoah, the twenty-ninth Age of the land, named for the king who rules Seleron. The land was once prosperous and safe, but now bandits and monsters roam freely, following the breaking of the King's army. The four lands are divided, helping each other only reluctantly and when profitable. In this time of hardship, fighting with weapons and spells became a powerful asset and mercenaries and groups of fighters began traveling the land, protecting the people for a price...

In the world of Seleron, two Legend mercenaries lead a hand-to-mouth existence taking whatever jobs and bounty they can get. There's not much they can do about it. After all, Ayne and Maruk aren't even from Seleron to begin with. They were ordinary actors in a small trope that performed in Central Park, before that earthquake broke open the ground they were standing on. So they have no way home and no choice but to adapt to this new and strange land.

It's in the midst of their travels that they meet the Oracle and hear her prophecy. She tells them of Kam and Enti, mystical swords which the pair seem destined to wield. Whoever carries them, they are told, may find new worlds. Bored and eager to find a way home, they accept this quest.

Things are not to be so easy however, as they find out when they're assaulted by a cult of light mages known, appropriately enough, as The Followers of Light. They are aided by two Myth warriors from a neighboring province and learn of a third magic sword, in the possession of a Dark Magic wielder named Meinya. Meinya has no idea why she has the sword or what it can do, but seems to think it's a "way back". Dodging the Followers of Light and investigating the swords, Ayne and Maruk begin to uncover a dark secret behind Seleron. What is this strange world the swords lead back to...and why was it abandoned?
