HORS D'OEUVRES OF BUSINESS:
on Saturday I made this masque-
and then proceeded to have a
rather strange evening.
Now I just want to make masks all the time. Like for a nice autumnal daywear look, there's
which Becci helpfully dubbed "eyebeards." This is very exciting. Back when I first started watching the Mighty Boosh, it made me want to start making costumes/wearable art, and now I'm finally doing it and it's really goddamn fun.
here's the first one frozen in time:
also, I'm reading a French novella about Paul Gauguin becoming an avant-garde fashion designer instead of a painter. I already found Gauguin's douchebaggery highly amusing, so this is some good readins'.
I decided I won't even try to get into Freakeasy for Halloween, despite the potential
wholesome fun it presents. I've heard conflicting tales of whether it's easy to get in underage or not, and I just don't feel like taking the risk of wasting my money and getting turned away at the door. Which means I need to figure out some other minimally awkward situation to put myself in this Saturday, or be doomed to spend another Halloween wallowing in my lameness! My mission, should I choose to not be a dumbass.
good noot.
