I've always respected Bill Clinton. More than my personal affinity for this incredibly intelligent man and his ideas, I appreciate how he was able to do his job for 8 years while the conservative press and the Republicans did everything in their collective power to eviscerate him. And now they have apparently decided to blame him for 9/11, I guess FOX News thinks we should all ignore that Clinton's administration worked on addressing the Bin Laden & Al Quaeda issues - while the current administration virtually ignored the same issues from the time Bush took office on 1/20/01 until 9/11/01.
They tried to impeach Clinton for an adulterous between consenting adults. Many of his accusers in the impeachment process were adulterers themselves (DeLay / Hyde / etc.). Although I don't excuse his behavior - I hardly think it was worth the absolute shit they put Clinton and this country through.
We now have a President in office who put troops in Iraq when the country and it's (admitted horrible) leader had NOTHING TO DO WITH THE 9/11 ATTACKS and had no WMD. That action has thusfar resulted in the murder of 2600+ American soldiers, 130,000+ Iraqis (and the death toll is increasing by an average of 110 people a day), and precipitated a civil war in Iraq from which there seems no end. Additionally, the current President has pissed away the world's goodwill from the 9/11 horrors and basically alienated most of the world's people with his cowboy mentality and seeming inability to admit to making mistakes and taking corrective action. I will go to my grave wondering why George W Bush is not being impeached for these actions.
The following links are to youtube.com. Bill Clinton was interviewed Friday - ostensibly to talk about his extensive philanthropic activities. But, FOX News being the right-wing Nazis that they are - immediately went after Clinton over 9/11 & Bin Laden. Bill Clinton not only explained the truth of the accusations, but called FOX News and his political detractors on their biases, actions, and spin. After seeing this - I only wish Bill Clinton was still President. He's smart, well-informed, able to form complete sentences, and sounds like he knows what he's talking about, and is not owned lock, stock, and barrel by big oil companies, the top 1% wealthiest citizens, and right-wing & religious zealots - all unlike the current administration.
