Part 8 And 9 Dinner, Dancing and a Movie.  Sounds Romantic, Right?

When Gerard walked through the front door, he looked tired.  His shirt was wrinkled from hours of sitting in his chair and his hair was disheveled.  His eyes drug the floor as he hung his jacket and his keys.

“Hey Gee,” I breathed as I hugged him from behind, kissing his neck in an attempt to cheer him up.  He turned in my arms and I felt a soft brushing of his lips against my temple before he pulled away.

“Hey Frankie,” he forced a small smile before looking around the entire room.  My breath caught as I waited for his reaction.  His eyes wrinkled slightly, the music and the moved couch drawing his attention.

“I made dinner,” I smiled and reached for his hands before pulling him towards the kitchen.

“As in you cooked?”  He asked, disbelief coloring his tone thickly.  I nodded happily and I heard him chuckle.  I felt him squeeze my hand as we made our way into the kitchen and I pulled out his chair from the table.

“Be right back,” I grinned before rushing off to the kitchen.  I grabbed the wine first and rushed back out to Gerard.

“Frankie you look like a waiter,” he chuckled but held his glass up for me to fill.

“Server Frank at your service,” I nodded again, but this time I bent down and kissed his cheek.  “Tonight, I am your personal servant,” I added with a wink before heading off to the kitchen.  A moment later I came out with our plates and pulled my chair so I was sitting beside him.  I asked him how his day had gone, and listened intently as he complained about how he couldn’t get his drawing just right for the comic.  I agreed accordingly and complimented when he became disheartened about his art.

“Now you can’t laugh,” I said slowly when we’d both finished eating and I’d picked up his plate.  When I reappeared with the giant cupcake, his eyes widened in surprise and he erupted into a fit of giggles.  My face turned red before he managed to stifle his laughter with a hand.

“Frankie baby, what happened to the cake?”  He teased, but I only shrugged.

“Nothing, this is what I intended to happen,” I said as seriously as I could.  The look Gerard gave me meant he didn’t believe me one bit.  Maybe I really was a terrible liar.  If it tasted bad, Gerard didn’t let on and instead had more than one share.

“We’re not even done yet,” I grinned when Gerard sat back in his chair.  I took his hand in mine and kissed it, before leading him to the “dance floor.”  I walked over to the radio and turned the music up before kneeling back in front of the love of my life.

“Gerard Arthur Way, may I have this dance?”  I raised my eyebrows, trying to stay serious but it was a hard when Gerard was grinning happily.  He nodded and picked me up off of the floor before I secured my arms around his waist against for the night.

I looked up into his beautiful eyes, and instead of feeling like I was the King of the world, I knew I was.  Gerard was my entire life and as I held him in my arms, there was nothing that could make me happier.  Holding him, I held everything and for at least a moment, everything in the world was right.

I wasn’t even aware of time in his arms.  The two of us held each other’s gazes, locking lips slowly and lovingly from time to time.

“I love you Gerard,” I murmured into another kiss as he whispered his response.  Neither of us had realized the music had stopped playing.

We stood in the center of the floor for what seemed like minutes, but outside the streetlights had already turned on and I could hear the frogs croaking in harmony with the New Jersey night life.  I smiled and pulled Gerard with me to the couch.  Not a word was spoken, but not a word was needed.  I could tell by the look in his eyes that he knew that I loved and adored him with all of my heart.

“I know it’s a little different from earlier, but I pulled out one of our favorite movies,” I grinned as I pressed play on the remote.  I pulled Gerard into my arms and yanked the blanket over us as Nightmare on Elm Street began.

“Run Bitch run!” Gerard screamed and I laughed.

“There’s no one like Freddy so there is no running,” I pointed out.  We laughed a little more and cuddled together.

As the ending credits rolled, Gerard pulled away to stretch.

“Frankie you have definitely made this one of the best birthdays in my entire life.”  He smiled and pulled me into a lazy kiss.

“It’s not over with yet, I promise,” I grinned against his lips, kissing him again before pulling away.  “Stay here,” I instructed before heading to the bedroom.
