event planning!
The big swing dance event Josh and I have been advertising for is today (as it is technically 1:22 AM atm.) I'm a little worried about the carpools I've organized, or at least about the ones that involve my immediate friends, but hopefully my drivers will confirm plans with me tomorrow, so I can tell all their riders where to be and when.
I'm excited about how many people are coming, and how they're from a lot of different circles and places. There's the St. John's people, the Friday night Eastport swing people, hopefully some Philly and Baltimore people, people from DC, and with a little bit of luck, the manager of Annapolis Coffee and Tea from the Annapolis Bookstore!
I think my favorite thing this summer has been going to the Eastport swing dances and the Annapolis Bookstore every Friday, and making new friends there. It's really nice to feel like a regular.
Oh, also I saw the last Harry Potter movie tonight. Can't believe I almost forgot about that! I thought some of the action scenes (especially near the end) were a bit ridiculous, but I thoroughly enjoyed it all the same.
