The internet is the best place. :D
I ran out of leftovers and potluck opportunities, so I had to actually cook something tonight. I had bought a bag of frozen chicken breasts last week, and on Wednesday I bought some bell peppers, and today, through the power of Google, I found a recipe for chicken with bell peppers. It called for garlic and onions, both of which were in the fridge and up for grabs, and a lemon and couscous, which I substituted for with half a grapefruit and angel-hair pasta.
It is so delicious! And I made it myself (with help from the internet and stuff I remembered from cooking with Esa.) I totally feel like a grown-up.
Other things that make me feel like a grown-up:
*Having to suck it up and squish the gross maggots emanating from our trashcan, and then sweep them up and throw them away
*Doing the dishes
*Installing a new file holder in the file cabinet at Womanship
*Finally answering the phone at Womanship according to Suzanne's specifications
*Running around Annapolis in business casual
*Cooking with music from my ipod playing in the background
I have a day off tomorrow, as far as I know, so I think I might go to the mall and replace some clothing that I have worn holes in. I already bought new flipflops today (some rubbery ones for any eventuality, and some soft, wedge-heeled thingies for being fancy) so I can phase out the ratty CVS ones I bought last year.
This evening I'm going to watch some Star Trek: TNG and then maybe go home and read Kant! I don't know why I feel like reading Kant, but whatever. Today I can do anything, because I feel AWESOME.
