I should probably post at some point.
Lately I have been thinking a lot about Newton and Leibniz because I read a senior's essay on conceptions of space, body, and force in Newton and Leibniz, and then I went to her oral, and then we talked about the General Scholium to Newton today and I introduced the idea that maybe the way Newton talks about God relates to his ideas of absolute space and time (an idea influenced by the senior's paper, but not derived from it), which we ended up coming back to throughout the discussion.
I think that classical physics is the shiznit and I am curious to see what next year will bring, as I remember thinking in high school that the little I knew of modern physics was the shiznit. I wonder if I will become enamored of modern physics, now that I've started appreciating the classical stuff.
Also, it continually weirds me out that I have opinions on math/metaphysics. If I were better at remembering numbers and formulas, I might consider math-related careers, but mostly I know how much I don't know.
