Parents update, via my sister: They're okay at their hotel, but there's no power anywhere. One of our neighbors didn't evacuate and communicated via text that the bayou (for non-TX people, that's what they call the network of drainage ditches) behind our street is pretty full and it's still raining, but doing its job - our house is fine and the tree out front is still standing.
Kemah boardwalk is 6 ft underwater. (!)

I made the mistake of turning on CNN when I got home yesterday but had a good distraction via Monopoly at a friend's. FYI, if playing with eight people, you're basically screwed if you roll in the second half. XD
