I'm more adjusted to the idea of omgmovingjobmajorlifechangeackackack today (mostly) and spent all the time I could at work hunting down apartment listings. I need to get things going ASAP; best case scenario, if I don't have trouble applying because I'm not there and not actually employed yet, I'd like to do it by or on next weekend.
The "how" part is up in the air. I can't rope the sister into driving my stored stuff up in a truck, and even if I were to freecycle away my furniture, I'd still need more space than is in my car. I seriously doubt said car's ability to pull a trailer up the five, so it looks like I'll either have to do the reverse - rent a truck and haul the car along behind it - or get something like a pod. *angsts*
My sister pointed out that I could technically drive up there this weekend or next week to hunt in person, but, uh, no. Not doing that trip three times in a week, sorry. Plus, I have a lot to do here before I go, the number one thing being to say goodbye to my very dear SoCal friends. I know it's short notice, but bekkio and I are thinking of getting together, uh, somewhere, Saturday night - anyone else free and interested?
I also need to get myself to a Dodgers game. The Bay Area will certainly be better for sports fannish opportunity than, say, Detriot, but there's no place like Dodger Stadium.
