Happy Birthday, slashkilter!
It's not that I've been busy; it's that there is nothing going on, and therefore, LJ silence. And work is getting ready to go boom, so I may be silentish again for the opposite reason. Also, my TV is supposed to come home this week.
It appears I didn't mention seeing 50/50 two weekends ago. It's quite well done, minus a few small things. JGL is especially fantastic, so if you like him, you've probably already seen it, and if not, you should. Sadly for me, there's not much else in theatres that interests me, but this happens every October.
I finished Elizabeth's Women last week and have moved onto A Princess of Mars because it was free (and in related qualities, missing at least half of one chapter), and one of those classics that I feel I should have read. From a modern perspective, it's extremely problematic, and the hilariously stu-ish Stu is not even the biggest Issue. But I enjoy hundred-plus year old science fiction for its imagination, and this provides plenty of it.
