"We're gonna do this just like Big Poppa was here"

Today is the eighth anniversary of the Notorious B.I.G.'s murder.

It makes me sad when I think about someone so young and so talented being killed over...what, really?

Jay Smooth quoted okayplayer.com when he talked about the 50 Cent/Game feud: "Y'all heard of Tupac, right? Biggie? If we learn nothing else from their lives and deaths, we should at least clearly understand that this game ain't worth dying over."

Then the commenting feature on that post was hijacked by the kind of mentally deficient fiends who just love to start fights and wave their guns in the air. Seriously, they are the reason why nightclubs get shut down, why concert promoters wouldn't touch hip hop events for years, and why Chris Rock came up with the phrase "keepin' it real - real dumb!"

Then 50 and Game
made up and are friends again! Or not.
(At the Schomburg Center, of all places!)

So what have we learned?

And what the hell did The Game mean by, "I'm almost ashamed to have participated in the things that went on the past couple of weeks"? Almost?

You and 50 Cent need to grow up, and fast.

wtf, music
