C. is taking the world's longest nap. I am unused to this easy peasy babyness. Waiting for the poo-flinging and the tantrums that surely must come. If The Kid were this easy, I would have like 6 by now.
I remember keeping a sleeping log on 6 month old Kid, and bringing it to the doctor, who thought mothering was just too much for widdle young me. I showed it to him and pointed out that Kid had only slept less than 8 hours in 24 and only for 2 hours at a stretch. His eyebrows went up and down and he finally seemed to grasp why I was so overwhelmed.
He said "I hope this doesn't discourage you from having more kids." I said "Too late."
So I want to look into state funding so's I can watch C full time, but there's a hitch. K is working under the table because she lost her housecleaning position. They tried to tell her that they revoked her day off request because they were short-handed. Her request was for a custody appointment. Yeah. So of course she left work anyway. Mama's got to take care of business. And thus she was fired. She now works construction with her beau and is paid under the table. Hence the problem.
I am so impressed with her. She just keeps moving no matter what, works her ass off and asks for help when at her age I would greet these kind of obstacles with a total inability to get out of bed in the morning.
Anyway. Under the table probably means she can't get daycare funding. Am I right mamas?
Oh, he's SO CUTE, I just want to eat his fat little feet off.
