What is Wrong With This Country
Last week at work I had a man angrily call me a goddamn Yankee Abolitionist.
Seriously? And why did this get violently flung at me in a tirade worthy of Fox News? Why, because I would not entertain a conversation with this person about why the South should secede from the United States and become it's own country. Jesus Christ.

Also? Yes. Yes, I am guilty as charged and damn proud of it. I just can't believe that in 2012 that's still considered a viable insult by a certain subset of the population. And then they claim that all their violent rhetoric has nothing to do with race. Please.
