Short description/summary of the book: (taken from amazon.com):
What if a woman could go back to the beginning and rethink her choices for love and life? When Leslie Headrick, Madison Appleby, and Ellie Abbott first met, they were in their early 20s and the world lay before them with its infinite possibilities. Now that they're about to turn 40, they reunite for a weekend at a summerhouse in Maine where they share the details of their lives during the past 20 years. Each woman has serious doubts and questions about the path she chose to follow, but none of them suspect the startling opportunity they're about to be offered to relive those choices and change their futures.
My Thoughts:
This is one of those books that I like to re-read when I start to question my life and where I'm at. The ability to go back and change something has always been a draw for me, and Devereaux explores this well. You feel for the characters plights. I recommend this one to anyone that loves romance novels.
In Queue: Shadow Dance by Julie Garwood, Dark Demon by Christine Feehan, Wild Orchids by Jude Devereaux, Kushiel's Chosen by Jacqueline Carey, The Anubis Gates by Tim Powers, and waiting oh-so-impatiently for both the new Harry Potter novel and For A Few Demons More by Kim Harrison (due out March 19th!)
I've got to try to remember to do these as I finish, instead of all at once. *grin*
