Bring the Chibis to Work Day
Today is National Bring the Rampaging Chibis to Work Day. They're cute, so I've not gotten much work done.
One question, though. . . I work at a research lab. At what point as a parent do you think "I work at a Research Lab, so I think it's alright for little Tommy to wear his shoes with the wheels in the heels."
Does this seem a bit like, um, asking for trouble to anyone else?
The cutest thing I've seen was this: There was a little girl with a head scarf playing with a little Orthodox Jewish Boy (side locks, yarmulka, fringes, the works. . .). Both had gotten their faces painted with camo paint, had dressed up in their little chibi fatigues, with their shiny new dogtags, and were playing in the front seat of the hummer parked on the lawn. Very Kawaii. One hopes they retain that willingness to play with each other. Unlikely, but one can hope.
Almost as cute: A nice discussion with a co-worker's son about Naruto and my Naruto plushies.
Hn. time to go home. No more chibis 'till next year.
