I hate people. Really. So many people out there need to just . . . die already. I mean, talk about no life, when you live in a suburban metropolitan area and you have nothing better to do near Christmas than take your bratty self and bratty kids to Starbucks as a "special occaision" thing. Whatever happened to going to the free museums? I remember when I was a bratty kid my parents used school and work vacations to keep us learning-- The Smithsonian Institutions were amazing for that. Art, Air & Space, Natural History, American History. . .ice cream at American History, mmmm . . .
Now, parents are taking their snot-nosed brats to Starbucks and complaining when we run out of trays to carry drinks with. "But I have three drinks! How am I gonna carry them?"
Like all those civilized people over there who have six and seven drinks and are understanding of the situation, you idiot.
Yesterday, I had three people give me $100 bills for purchases of less than $4.
None had anything smaller, none where willing to use credit.
Made it kind of gratifying when a customer after a $100-bill-person who had a $20, stepped out of line to tell $100-person "You know, it's really selfish and inconsiderate to take all her change so that none of us after you can get anything. You should be ashamed of yourself."
"But I needed to break it!"
"Yeah, you broke it all right, frickin' yuppie bitch."
I nearly wept with gratitude. Or laughed out loud. Fortunately, I did neither, and instead poured $20-gal a free cup of coffee. Legedary Service goes to Legendary Customers.
Yuppies get nothing.
