So, you may notice I've not been around much the past few days-- well, that's in large part because I've been busy at work, and I've accepted the position of Editor-in-Chief for the revamped
Legacy Anime. Now, as you may know,
LA is my little brother's site that he's been running and evolving for several years now, and they've taken it up a notch with this re-vamp-- Thus the need for an Editor-in-Chief.
We're publishing articles, now, of the somewhat scholarly inclined. The list of submission standards is found in my introduction. We've got two articles so far-- already published is Sean Callanan's "The City as Character", an examination of the use of cities as characters, and soon to be published (like, tonight) an article from science fiction author Robert R. Chase [aka, My Dad] called "Environmental Confusion", a critique of environmentalist themes in three different anime.
Ro-kun and his buddies are also working on developing a web-comic called This is Legacy Anime!, inspired by the ESPN This is Sports Center commercials, involving a myriad of anime characters and their interactions in the Legacy Anime Corporate Offices.
Sooo, all you anime fans who happen to read my LJ. . . If you've ever felt a desire to get extra Geek Point by writing a scholarly article on some anime, or aspect of anime. . . consider this your invitation.
