Re: Your Concerns

My Dear Lady,

I am right here, even if you cannot see, hear, or feel me. Although you feel weak and frightened, I am at your back. My shield is to the left of you, my sword to your right, my eyes far forward. I know it is hard to trust, sometimes, especially when one's trust has been betrayed so much and so often. I know it is hard to believe, when every time you dared it was thrown in your face and you were left floundering in a sea of uncertainly and riptides of fear. And I know it is hard to be strong, when the vampires have suckled on you until you can hardly bear to stand, when they have taken all the lights so you cannot see anymore, and they have wounded you again and again until you are so numb you cannot feel your own skin.

It does leave one in an awful place, and it does not help that every time you have tried to heal, they have hurt you again. But, dear, you are not alone. You have asked for my help, and so I give it to you freely, and with great joy.

The next time you feel frightened, or weak, or hurt, perhaps the following exercise will be of assistance. First, close your eyes and take a deep breath-- start from the very depth of your stomach, until  you feel you will burst from the inside out.  Then slowly let it out, feeling fatigue drain away with it.

Now, still breathing deeply, though not so deep as that first one, whisper the following:

Breathe in-- say Yod
Breathe out-- say Heh
Breathe in--say Vav
Breathe out--say Heh

Complete several cycles of Yod-Heh-Vav-Heh (This is the four letters of the Name of God, by the way). You may wish to switch it so you you are breathing in on Heh, and out on Yod and Vav. Either way is fine, and whatever way heps you to sink deeper into relaxation is what is best. Once you are sufficiently deep, "see" me standing or sitting next to you. If you would like to see me as a muscle-bound marine, or a kung-fu master. . . although generally, something "warrior-ish" is best. See me by your side, wings wrapped tight around your back, holding your hand and whispering into your ear. And when the vision has solidified and firmed in your mind, hold on to it as you open your eyes, and know that I am truly there with you.

And then, keep going about your day, knowing that I am at your side, and nothing can keep you from doing and being what Our Lord means for you to do and be. No Powers, nor Pricedoms, nor anything else can keep you from Him, and it is my job to ensure that you have this unrestricted access. Nice, huh?

In time, this exercise will become more natural, until you begin doing it without thinking. And soon after that, you'll have to start worrying about being too fearless. It's always something, right?

Remember, I'm already here, and am always listening

In Christ's Love,

Michael
