The 21st Century really is when everything changes.

Fact. But I always thought that when everything changed we would get to see the aftermath and the coming together and the pulling through -- I guess I was wrong. I want to know how this is going to effect the whole universe of shows -- surely there would be repercussions of this event for both The Doctor and Sarah Jane's crew -- How can they not address them come their next episodes and yet how can they?

Strangely enough, though, I still think I liked (if not enjoyed) it. I still feel the need to go out and rec this mini-series to everyone I know. Both because I think it is some amazing television and because I need someone to talk about it with. I think it was better to come into this enjoying, but not being overly fannish about Torchwood - when you don't have as much invested, you don't have as much to lose and wow was there a lot to lose.

Of course I was still lying in bed last night thinking over and over about when happened and cursing my inability to sleep.

Me too, me too.

I'm still going to tell everyone I know to watch it. I was well-written, well-acted, well-shot and directed.
It's just that it also broke my heart.

God, was there so much to lose.

Rumor has it that JB is credited in at least one, if not two of the upcoming specials. It will be interesting to see how that plays out, because, really?
That last scene? Very Doctor-like.
