Mont Ventoux
The tour goes through Mont Ventoux ( pronounced Mo Vontu). This is regarded as one of the most diffcult climbs due to the gradient, lack of tree cover and high speed winds. It is also the climb which has claimed the maximum number of lives on the tour. It is also the place where Armstrong announced his arrival as the King of TDF. I would be supporting Andy Shleck and Wiggins today. Its going to be fun as a lot of top contenders in GC would be going in for a stage victory as the yellow jersey has been virtually won by Contador.
Armstrong is starting a new team next season sponsored by Radio Shack. I think hez gonna be the favourite next year. I firmly believe he could have won this year, had Astana not chosen Contador as their leader. They have 3-4 friggin leader material riders (Contador, Leepheimer, Armstrong and Kloden).
I hope Basso is back next year and the Shleck's could improve their TT skills.
