Movies finally
I hadnt watched movies in a long time , leave alone good movies. Am alone from my team this weekend in Surat. Booked a cab with Sumanth and Vamsi and watched a movie each Fri night and Sat night.
Don-
This is a movie for the masses as Dilip wud put it. In my terms its a dumb movie.Priyanka Chopra and Arjun Rampal look stunninig. Bomman Irani acts well. The movie is sleekly shot. Apart from that the movie is crap. Shahrukh khan seems to be attending Viva after mugging up all the dialogues.The first movie was also dumb. The only reason it was watchable was because of Amitabh Bachan, his personality and dialogue delivery. SRK does not have any of those. The ending of the movie is the biggest let down. Movies with twists in the end are best left open ended. I dont understand why directors have to explain each and every detail behind the twist. I just hate that. The songs are also junk. Stay away from the movie if you havent watched it.

After watching Don I had little expectations from this movie. I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. This is a very very well made movie. The movie does not have a typical narrative. Its more of a musical. The director deserves a big pat on his back for making a movie like this, more so for making a movie that he wanted to make and not a kind made to sell tickets. The art direction of the movie is simply amazing. The music is amazing too. The back ground music done by the director himself is also amazing. The lead actors have done really well. Salman Khan is not found to be irritating. This must be Akshay Kumar's best performance. Priety Zinta gives a good performance too. Watch this movie if you havent. Watch it on big screen. There is no point watching it on small screen. Three cheers to Shirish Kunder.
