Flood Alert
Today the flood gates of Ukai dam which holds river Tapi have been opened. Surat is expected to be flooded. The place where I stay has water on 2 sides, river Tapi on one and the sea on another. My room is on the ground floor. Have packed all my stuff and got it to the office. People who stay in Surat have left and are moving to higher places. Its been raining for 2 days non stop now. Heavy rains. Cant see soil except on the roads which are slightly elevated. Very very depressing weather for weeks now. I wanna get out of this place till it stops raining. Let me see what comes of it.
