all washed out

Since we're getting ready to paint the house, a friend volunteered to loan us a pressure washer. Since this friend plans to move in a month or two, we figured we wouldn't get this chance again, so we took full advantage of it.

Since Wednesday, I've:
  • Washed down the house (of course): it's now as clean as it can get, though it still clearly needs painting.
  • Blasted out the gutters. You wouldn't believe how much rust went rushing down the downspouts!
  • Cleaned the entire driveway plus all the concrete on both east and west sides of the house. The concrete looks almost new: it's clean and white. (The pressure washer doesn't get rid of cracks, sadly.)

The last project was definitely the most tiring, requiring the better part of two days. About five hours of that was spent actually spraying the concrete down (@ 2400 psi); the rest was getting junk out of the side yard, clipping back bushes, etc. (Our yard waste toter is overflowing, and we have enough extra in bags that we could fill it to the brim again.)

The pressure washer has been returned to our friend, so now I can get back to my other projects.

I've scheduled the first inspection for the end of next week. I could probably have done it Monday, but I want to spend a couple of days looking for problems. Debugging, if you will.
