So apparently Osama's dead. This, in spite of the pretty persistent rumors that he died up to a decade ago. Maybe things really did go down as they're portrayed in the news, but in all honesty, it would not surprise me one bit if the whole thing was staged and he really did die several years ago. Whether a partisan ploy by the Democrats or a pro-

We are cattle. Ignorant, fattened, diseased cattle. We are bred for the potential we possess- which is usually cultivated by someone somewhere along the course of our lives. Few die without benefitting someone. All for the sake of money. Peices of paper & plastic decide fates. We are told to be like this figure or that model because they get the positive which is withheld from the rest of the population, locked behind walls & thick doors.
Approval? Only if you're straight, heroic... and rich. Wealth? Only if you're loyal to your corrupt masters, who'll be just as happy to sacrifice you to save their own necks. Respect? Only if you're dangerous, but can be bargained with. Loved? Only if you're desireable, malleable and can benefit others by your presence. Damned if you do, damned if you don't... or so it would seem. I don't blame you for feeling bummed out. They'll try and sell you things to make you feel better, you know... distractions, all for money.
When the show is over, you're back to feeling bummed. Sadly, they have nothing else to offer, because they're all doing it; selling themselves like products, prostituting knoweledge, keeping the cattle marching- through all their nasty knives, hooks, saws & rending devices- into the meat market. End of story. We do horrible things... and we're going to continue doing horrible things and making it seem like we're nice. No happy ending, no motivational speech, no redeeming value.

I'm not terribly materialistic (I've seen a study somewhere showing it is experiences, not material possessions, that make someone happy; it's a philosophy I live by) but even I find the false choices offered to us infuriating. We have the option of one of a few outrageously priced cell phone conglomerates, prescription drug sources, etc. We're offered two political parties that are pretty similar (both will fuck you in the ass, but at least the dems will give you a reach-around), and our entire exposure to politics and media in this country has turned into one giant reality TV show. Where I live, I essentially have one ISP option, and it's not a good one. Corporations are playing a balancing game between separating people from as much of their money as possible, and keeping the population complacent enough not to revolt. And the US is not enough, as our government/corporations are slowly but surely spreading this filth to the rest of the industrialized world.
Being one of those "sick animal people", I don't share the motivations of most--the only family I plan to raise are my dogs, I don't have any compelling reason to become a multimillionaire, and canines aside, the things that bring me the most joy in life are the pursuit of knowledge and the majestic allure of the mountains. I have no desire to support amoral corporations, the glorification of willful ignorance, or the war machine. Mostly, I just want to live my life in peace, finding happiness through my dogs, a rewarding career, and a small handful of close friends and family members. Time will tell if I'll be permitted even that...

Remember, dogs are not naturally sexual creatures, unless corrupted by humans. But you should chop their balls off anyway, just to be sure.
Oh, also true of horses. Because you know, animals that can run away and/or pretty easily maim or kill you also are incapable of communicating consent. Sure they clearly communicate whether they want petting, food, outdoor breaks, etc. BUT NOT SEXUALITY, you pervert.
Atone immediately. Your progress will be monitored on numerous surveillance cameras.
Ahem. Quick unrelated rant there.
