So, fellow denizens of the Interwebs, what can one do about a broken wrist?
Long story short: in a sort of freak accident a week and a half ago (and before you ask, it has nothing to do with the girlfriend) I had someone run into my wrist at very high speed. I thought for a week or so that it was just bruised or something, but a few days ago I was trying to tie my shoes and had a wave of excruciating pain come from the spot. I've had to be really careful with it since--normally does not bother me at all, but if I move it the wrong way...
If something is broken, it's probably one of the small hand bones that apparently take forever to heal. A part of me feels like there's not really anything that can be done about my injury, and so what's the point of getting it looked at? Another part thinks it would be a good idea, but is worried about insurance costs, with the next few months seeing me a bit tight on cash until I secure a job (hopefully).
Also, for those of you who have succumbed to the newest fad of Twitter, I now have an account there (same as my username here), so you should add me. Probably won't be terribly interesting for the most part, but if you want to see what we woofy zoo types are up to during the day, it's a good place to start. My real-life alter ego (the one who plays a shy, nice, fairly smart, and totally straight fellow who's of course not interested in animals at all that way, yuck!) sees absolutely no reason for joining the site, but maybe the 'yotey part of me feels like marking his territory in some bizarre way...who knows.
In other news, this week will suck in terms of midterms and whatnot. Also, the weather is creeping up on miserable territory for me. I seriously miss winter! Will write again when I get the chance...
Here's hoping that coyotes can't get swine flu! Σ:^p
