Holy fucking shit why can I not
learn to get to bed at a decent hour!?? This past week in particular has left me exhausted = me inadvertently sleeping in to a ridiculous hour both yesterday and today = me accomplishing absolutely nothing homework-wise until now. Fuck...
I finally got around to seeing WALL·E, which is unbelievably cute. It randomly has a lot of parallels with Idiocracy (another movie that, while well-written, still makes me want to claw my eyes out). I recommend both.
I made a bit more progress cleaning my room. It now looks like only an F3 tornado has rolled through, instead of an F5. I still have to figure out where to put a bunch of my shit. Might look into some kind of storage...
I still just want this semester to be over with already. That said, I'm not looking forward to the prospect of buying plane tickets home, but at least it looks like I might be able to pick up a few odd jobs next weekend that would pay for the majority of that. It'll be...different having the kids around when I come home (e.g. I'll probably be crashing on a couch in the living room) but I suppose I'm looking forward to it. After all, I haven't seen the oldest since he was a baby, and the younger two were born after we moved.
Man, all of a sudden I've gotten really nostalgic for home...I remember the first few times I arrived there after the move, when everything was new and fresh and alien and magical...I was in absolute ecstacy, and every day brought a new surprise. It was a million times better than the place from which I'd moved. Well, now I've started figuring my new home out, and the town where it's located, and the state where I now live when I'm not here at school. Some of the magic and mystery is gone, but I still feel there's plenty to explore and discover, and there's just something wonderful about being home and away from classes, even if you're miles from anything interesting, and without a car.
In any case--both here and at home--I can't wait for winter!
Okay, enough rambling, I have homework to do!
