I have run into Microsoft Virtual Earth, and have found it a highly entertaining and wonderful waste of time. Here's a shot of a neighborhood near the school I teach at.... I know...the pillar of beauty, eh?

dude! a couple nights ago i found the county database that gives information for different properties. i was shopping online for renter's insurance and they wanted to know all this stuff about my building (when it was built, the square footage of my apartment, the structure, etc.). i was very proud of myself and technology when i found that site. anyway, i got totally sidetracked and looked up different addresses around the city. it was fun. there was a map involved, but not a virtual one.
